David and Michelle also own “Byron Bay Green Effect”, a produce farm located in the hinterland of Byron Shire, where they grow strictly spray free produce for the public as well as for our own catering at the pocket BURLEIGH and Eat a Pocket.
David and Michelle have been selling their farm produce in Queensland’s farmers markets for years. Leaving home long before dawn and spending long days at the markets makes one very hungry and in need of nourishment. But the wholesome nourishing food they were raised on was nowhere to be found. So, after spending many days living on their own tomatoes, capsicums and the occasional latte, they decided to do something about it. They commissioned purposely designed, state of the art food trailers and created Eat a Pocket. Our trailers now operate with growing success in Southern Queensland markets and at special events. We have a well trained and capable crew and our unique food has become the buzz of the town especially around the Brisbane Markets.
Marco and Annique then entered the Eat a Pocket business and when the decision was made to open the pocket BURLEIGH all four owners jumped in to design and refurbish the old butcher's shop in Connor St...
and the rest, as they say, is making history!
“Eat a Pocket” and "the pocket BURLEIGH" is a business partnership operating a boutique restaurant and unique food vending trailers. It is owned by David and Michelle Dvash and Marco and Annique Goldenberg.
